A unique opportunity for a talented web designer to join a friendly and growing team based in leafy North London. We are looking for a strong visual web designer with HTML and CSS skills and a keen eye for detail. We use the latest technology, so CSS3, Media Queries (responsive design), LESS and HTML5 knowledge would be a definite advantage.

The successful candidate would be working in our small but growing team, in a relaxed yet professional environement full of opportunity to learn and develop new skills.

We want to see each candidates skills demonstrated, so examples of sites they have recently designed is essential and in fact more important than the amount of experience. We are looking for a candidate who enjoys keeping up with the day to day developments of the web and wants to work in the ever-changing environment of a small company.

Required Skills

Strong design cridentials, with a solid understanding of recent trends in web design and usability.
The ability to work from wireframes to create clean, usable and visually appealing websites.
Knowledge of HTML/CSS and a desire to develop this further.
Some experience in a professional work environment

Desired Skills

Experience of newer technology such as HTML5, CSS3, Media Queries and LESS
Agency Experience
Experience with SilverStripe CMS
Experience of Version control systems (GIT or SVN)

The ideal candidate

Will have a desire to learn new skills and develop existing skills.
Will have a strong desire to produce work of consistently high quality.
Will have strong communication skills and the ability to engage in a small team environment.

Terms

Salary: up to £25k + Bonus.

Type: Permanent (with probationary period).

We are looking for a junior PHP developer, ideally with experience of developing websites with the SilverStripe CMS to join the Aab Web team and enjoy a great working environment building high quality websites for high quality clients!

Overview

A unique opportunity to join a small, friendly and growing Web Studio based in leafy North London. The role would offer hands on experience of developing client websites from start to finish as well as on-going maintenance and support including some direct communication with clients. The successful candidate will gain a large number of new skills while working in the position as well as enjoying regular trips to the Go Kart Track and other team events.

The studio it self is light and modern, offering a relaxed working environment.

Key Responsabilities

Developing flat designs into static web pages using valid HTML, CSS, jQuery and other common web development technologies.
Developing static web page templates into dynamic CMS driven websites using the SilverStripe CMS (PHP5/MySQL).
Direct communication with clients via email and telephone to assist in supporting websites, resolving problems and discussing feature requests.
Scoping new projects and exploring the architecture options for their implementation.
Contributing to internal projects with development time and new ideas.
Keeping abreast of current and emerging web related technology.
