With over 1700 stores Greggs the bakery is a household name. Aab Web were employed by creative agency Steel London to develop a sophisticated implementation of the SilverStripe CMS to allow Greggs full control over the sites content and behaviour.Visit Site
Steel London are a well respected creative agency who required a SilverStripe specialist to match the quality of their creative work on this high level consumer site. Aab Web were chosen and delivered a solution that gave Greggs a simple and efficient and flexible way to ensure their site's content was always up-to-date.
Highlights include a complete product/category management system, allowing products to appear in multiple locations as well as being related to other products for 'you might also like' and 'try it with' headings on each product detail page. Greggs 'Facts' were also automatically related to products using key words to allow each product's page have slightly different content each time a user visits it.
SilverStripe 'Widgets' were used throughout the site to give Greggs control over the content of the sidebars offering blocks of configurable content, such as the newsletter sign up form or a Greggs 'fact', created, re-ordered and deleted via an intuitive drag and drop interface.
